Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished Battery Technology Expert to join a cutting-edge R&D team at the forefront of sustainable energy innovation.
In this role, you’ll lead the research, development, and optimization of next-generation battery systems—focusing on lithium-ion, solid-state, or emerging chemistries. You’ll play a key role in advancing the company’s energy storage solutions for renewable integration, electric mobility, and grid-scale applications.
This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer or scientist passionate about driving breakthroughs in electrochemistry, materials innovation, and battery performance.
Experience
Minimum 5+ years in battery R&D, energy storage engineering, or electrochemical systems development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead research and development initiatives for advanced battery technologies, including cell design, material selection, and performance testing.
- Analyze electrochemical performance data to improve battery efficiency, safety, and cycle life.
- Collaborate with materials scientists, manufacturing engineers, and product teams to integrate new technologies into production.
- Design and execute experiments to study battery degradation, thermal dynamics, and charging behaviors.
- Develop and maintain simulation models and testing frameworks for performance optimization.
- Author technical papers, patent filings, and industry publications showcasing R&D outcomes.
- Evaluate suppliers, materials, and cell components for potential system integration.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety, testing, and environmental standards (UN38.3, ISO, IEC).
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in electrochemistry, battery materials, and energy storage systems.
- Hands-on experience with lithium-ion, solid-state, or lithium-sulfur cell development.
- Understanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and battery safety protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in battery diagnostics, failure analysis, and lifecycle performance.
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, data acquisition, and test automation systems.
Desired Skills
- Experience with simulation tools such as COMSOL, ANSYS, MATLAB, or Python for electrochemical modeling.
- PhD in Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Knowledge of EV battery technologies, grid-scale energy storage, or renewable integration.
- Experience with scale-up, pilot manufacturing, or industrial R&D collaborations.
- Published research or patents in advanced battery technologies.

Education
- BSc minimum, with MSc or PhD strongly preferred in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Energy Engineering, or similar discipline.
