Job Description

Mastar Limited is seeking an experienced Clinical Systems Analyst to support the implementation, optimization, and integration of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical IT solutions across healthcare organizations.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between clinical workflows and technical systems, ensuring healthcare technology solutions meet the needs of clinicians, administrators, and patients. You’ll collaborate with NHS trusts, private hospitals, and clinical IT teams to deliver digital transformation in patient care delivery.

Experience

Minimum 3+ years of experience in clinical systems analysis, EHR implementation, or health informatics within healthcare or NHS settings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Translate clinical workflows into functional and technical requirements for system configuration.
  • Support implementation, testing, and maintenance of EHR and clinical information systems.
  • Work with clinicians, administrators, and IT teams to ensure optimal system usage and adoption.
  • Perform gap analysis, identify system enhancements, and assist with upgrades or migrations.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • Provide second-line support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for clinical applications.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to connect systems via HL7, FHIR, and other interoperability standards.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, NHS Digital, and GDPR requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with EHR systems such as Cerner, Epic, EMIS, or SystmOne.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows in acute or primary care settings.
  • Knowledge of health informatics standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, SNOMED CT).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and training abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and reporting tools for data extraction and analysis.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working within NHS digital transformation or clinical systems integration projects.
  • Background in health informatics, data governance, or information management.
  • Understanding of clinical coding, data interoperability, or healthcare analytics.
  • Relevant certifications in health informatics, EHR systems, or project management (e.g., PRINCE2).
