Job Description

We are seeking passionate and skilled Renewable Energy Engineers to join a growing team dedicated to driving the clean energy transition across the UK.
In this role, you will work on the design, analysis, and implementation of renewable energy systems, including solar PV, wind power, and battery energy storage projects.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions that support the UK’s net-zero goals and the future of green infrastructure.


Experience

Minimum 3+ years in renewable energy, power systems, or sustainable engineering roles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize solar PV, wind, and battery storage systems for commercial and utility-scale projects.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies, yield assessments, and energy modeling.
  • Support the development of grid connection applications, G99 studies, and grid impact analyses.
  • Collaborate with developers, planners, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle — from concept to commissioning.
  • Evaluate new technologies and energy efficiency solutions for carbon reduction and performance optimization.
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for renewable installations.
  • Ensure compliance with UK grid codes, health & safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Contribute to net-zero strategies, ESG frameworks, and sustainability assessments.

Required Skills

  • Strong technical understanding of renewable energy systems (solar PV, wind, storage).
  • Experience with energy modeling tools (PVsyst, WindPRO, Homer, or similar).
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, power flow, and grid integration.
  • Familiarity with UK DNO/TSO grid processes, including G99, ENA, and National Grid ESO.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Helioscope, or other design software.

Desired Skills

  • Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • Experience with hydrogen, EV infrastructure, or microgrid projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of battery storage control systems and hybrid energy integration.
  • Familiarity with energy markets, decarbonisation planning, or ESG reporting.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred in Engineering or Renewable Energy disciplines.
